Keep A Record, Be Protected
In order to be fully compensated for the contents of your dwelling in case of fire, you need to keep some form of documentation of what those contents are. A written list is ideal, but even a detailed video walkthrough can be helpful if tragedy strikes. Just remember to keep a copy of the tape off site.
Auto Insurance
In Ontario, all insurers use the Standard Automobile Policy (OAP 1). At Westminster Mutual we have some special features and rating. READ ON!
COVERAGES
Protection Plus - If purchased, this option protects your good driving record if you are at least 6 years accident free. In the event of your first "at fault" accident, you keep your accident free rating! (This protection can not be applied to accidents resulting in any criminal code or major Highway Traffic Act violations)
Emergency Road Service - This coverage reimburses you for towing and emergency service up to $50.00 per emergency. The coverage pays in excess of (or in absence of) any auto club, manufacturers or dealers warranties or credit card programs. The cost of parts or fuel does not qualify. This coverage is included at no additional cost when your vehicle is insured by us for "Collision and Comprehensive" or "All Perils" physical damages coverages
Transportation Replacement - This option if purchased, pays for the rental of a substitute vehicle while your vehicle is out of service due to a loss which your vehicle is insured against. The total reimbursement is up to $1,000, with a maximum daily limit of $50.00.
DISCOUNTS AND RATING
Property Insured Discount - Save 10% off your auto policy premium when you insure your home, condominium unit or farm residence with us! If you are a tenant, you may be eligible to save 10% off your auto premium when you insure your personal property with us!
Retiree Discount - A discount of 10% can be applied to the Accident Benefits' section of your automobile policy if you are retired and not receiving any income from any business or occupation and you are over the age of 65 or receiving pension under any government or registered pension plan.
Trailmaster Discount - A new trailmaster discount of 15% is now available for motorized snow vehicles provided all operators are 40 years of age or over and all operators have remained accident and claims free for the last six years. You must have owned a snow vehicle throughout the past five years.
